I read an old book review that Martin Kramer wrote for Jane Peters’ diatribe, “From Time Immemorial,” which Norman Finkelstein proved was a dishonest crock of propaganda. One thing that Kramer gushed struck me as funny:
“In locating the solution in Arab migration the author has demonstrated resourceful ingenuity.”
It’s funny because Kramer seems to be admitting that Peters isn’t discovering the “fact” that it was O.K. to refuse to readmit the Palestinian refugees back into Israel after the Nakba because they were only “returning home” when they fled. Instead, he seems to be admitting that she’s inventing a “solution” to the problem that they deserved to be readmitted–with “resourceful ingenuity” yet!
