I happen to think this would be a good thing, not a sacrificing of Israel to metaphorical wolves. I think US participation in Kyoto is pretty much never going to happen, and I fear that Kerry will be, if anything, more protectionist than Bush, and certainly more than Clinton (who did sign NAFTA after all), so I think the trade agreement argument is specious.
